my journey with religion has definitely had its twists and turns

the journey started back in high school. there was the usual group of girls labelled as “religious”, there was the Christian Club, and there was a crush who wore a ring with a fish on it

a friend once invited me to church. i don’t remember too much about how the experience was except that the pastor kept saying ” Ay-men” and that the church felt like it was a dating service

college was another opportunity for exploration. i joined A2F and for a period of time, frequently went to their outreach events

it wasn’t until post-college that things became serious. i found a church 15 minutes away from home where there was a lot of good fellowshipping

then came the grace period, where i was naturally ( because of my Psychology degree ) into mental health

when i really got into religion was when i joined a church in campbell. what excited me and drew my interest was that the pastor gave extremely good sermons. his sermons were charismatic and made the content fun and interesting. i learned about certain concepts such as the idea that we’re all forgiven, and that we are saved by grace
